Where is a brave man born?

Courage Lives by Mark Patterson:

Where is a brave man born?

Where does he find true valor?

Or find the strength to face a mighty foe?

Or learn to stand for truth and truth alone?

Does courage come from battles won,

or when mighty deeds are done?

Is it formed in heroes’ hands

Or in the heart of ev’ry man?

Where is a brave man born?

Where is a brave man born?

Some men are born among princes and kings,

Some men are born of simple means.

Some men are born in the wake of the raging storm;

Who among them, Who among them,

Who will find where courage lives?

Is courage bought or won? Or only earned by some?

Or does it live where birth demands?

Courage lives deep within the heart of ev’ry man,

Stirred to rise in the blood of youth.

Courage lives, witnessed in the work of our own hands,

shining forth in all we say and do.

If we speak the truth when others are afraid,

If we learn to give when others take away,

If we stand for what we know is right

No matter what the sacrifice,

Then courage lives, courage lives, courage lives.

Born within our hearts, burnished in our hands,

Courage lives. Courage lives! COURAGE LIVES!

If we stand for what we know is right, no matter what the sacrifice then courage lives, courage lives, courage lives!

Please make the following edits to your music:

Pg. 4 measures 19-21:
Tenor 1 part should sing the highest notes on the treble clef. (no small inner notes)

Tenor 2 part should sing the lowest notes on the treble clef. (no small inner notes)

I will teach the extra notes in rehearsal. Thank you.

This is a great piece for our choir. If we sing boldly, with good tone quality, it will sound great. For the most part, I believe we know this song pretty well.
